Before we begin therapy, I will have a consultation call with your parent and with you to make sure we will be a good fit. We will also go over what working with me is like.

In the first session, I will meet with your parent for the first 15-20 minutes of session to go over confidentiality, expectations and background information.

From there, sessions will be focused on you and your goals. You will be able to discuss in detail the issues you are experiencing and the direction you would like therapy to go.

I will help you navigate big emotions, stress and complex relationships. We will develop new ways of coping that you can take with you wherever you go.

You may have questions about starting therapy

Will you tell my parent about things we talk about in therapy?

I keep what we talk about confidential and will express this during the consultation call with you and your parent.

The only exception to this rule is in matters of your safety. For example if you are being hurt, or if you express that you are planning on harming yourself or others.

How do I tell my parents that I want to start therapy?

In Nevada it is required to get your parent’s consent for therapy if you are under 18.

It can be scary to ask for help but you deserve the mental health support you are looking for.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, I offer both in person and online sessions for anyone living in the state of Nevada.
